Cogent Named Most Likely to Succeed at ISTE2016

Couragion just wrapped up its first visit to the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) Conference held in our home city of Denver, CO. There were over 16,000 educators and 500 companies from around the world in attendance. We met some incredible new educators and innovators all seeking the latest trends of what’s working in educational technology - and we look forward to working with many of them. It was great to connect with both our National Science Foundation (NSF) colleagues – many of whom we met this past March at the grantee conference – and our AT&T Aspire Accelerator class which just kicked off in May. We are so grateful to have both of their continued support!

We were especially proud of our colleagues at Cogent Education who are also fellow NSF winners and AT&T Aspire class members. Cogent was selected as one of twelve finalists in ISTE’s fourth annual Ed Tech Start-Up Pitch Fest showcasing creative and innovative ed tech apps and tools available for schools and classrooms. After three winning rounds, they were crowned "Most Likely to Succeed"! If you haven’t heard of Cogent, they make interactive case studies for science that are awesome. The case studies help students to participate in real world scenarios, assume the role of a STEM professional, and engage in critical thinking to solve real world problems. Check them out for your science classroom!
