Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is just around the corner. This annual program is dedicated to inspiring K-12 students to take interest in computer science. As part of the week, educators are encouraged to complete Hour of Code us activities with students. This year, CSEdWeek takes place December 5 - 11, 2016.
Will you be doing Hour of Code activities with your students? If so, register your event on their website.
If you aren’t sure how to get started, Hour of Code has several ‘How To’ guides to help you. And they have an amazing database of coding resources. You can search by grade, experience level, coding language, technology type, etc.
And, don’t forget that teaching students to code is critical, but to be really inspired to pursue CS, kids also need to understand CS career paths.
That’s where Couragion can help you! We give you an easy way to let students see CS careers firsthand. Couragion can partner with you to create a custom CSEdWeek career exploration plan that supports your coding activities. We also have developed a special CSEdWeek Career Pack with discounted pricing. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
We hope your students will be part of the over 290 million kids that have participated in Hour of Code to date!
